Silicon Grounder Overview

Silicon Grounder is an Apple Silicon-native perception engine and Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. It enables AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Antigravity, Hermes) to perceive your local desktop, parse user interfaces, and execute UI automation with zero cloud egress.

By taking direct advantage of Apple’s unified memory architecture, Metal Performance Shaders (MPS), and the Apple Neural Engine (ANE), Silicon Grounder performs local OCR and UI grounding in sub-50ms cycles.

Zero Cloud Data Egress

Screenshots, browser window buffers, and desktop pixels never leave your Mac. All visual perception models run locally on Metal.

Apple Neural Engine Accelerated

Visual bounding box extraction and text localization execute directly on the 16-core Apple Neural Engine with near-zero CPU burn.

Universal MCP Standard

Native Model Context Protocol (MCP) tool provider. Seamlessly connects to Claude Desktop, Cursor, Antigravity, and Hermes.

Sub-50ms Perception Latency

Extract clickable UI coordinates and text locations faster than traditional cloud multimodal vision APIs.
